Basic Requirements:

We are seeking an energetic, creative, and dependable Summer Camp Teacher to lead our seasonal program for each of our locations (Bertram and Burnet, TX). You will be responsible for creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for school-age children (typically ages 5–12) through themed activities, field trips, and hands-on learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Implementation: Lead daily activities including STEAM projects, arts and crafts, sports, and outdoor games.
• Safety & Supervision: Maintain active supervision of children at all times, ensuring all licensing and safety guidelines are met.
• Field Trip Coordination: Supervise children during off-site excursions, ensuring headcounts and safety protocols are strictly followed.
• Communication: Provide daily updates to parents regarding their child’s participation and achievements.
• Classroom Management: Use positive guidance techniques to foster social-emotional growth and a respectful camp culture.
• Environment Maintenance: Keep the classroom and outdoor areas clean, organized, and themed according to the weekly curriculum. Parent Infant Center +2

Qualifications:

• Experience: Would love 1–2 years of experience in a licensed childcare center, camp, or educational setting preferred but will train the right candidate.
• Education: High school diploma required; CDA (Child Development Associate) or college coursework in Early Childhood Education is a plus.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to be physically active (standing, walking, squatting) for an 8-hour shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check. Parent Infant Center +6

Little Texans is expanding thanks to the Infant and Toddler Expansion Grant from the Texas Workforce Board, and we’re excited to open new positions for dedicated infant and toddler caregivers at each of our locations (Bertram and Burnet, TX). This grant allows us to fully cover all required training.

Basic Requirements:
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, pass a criminal background check, and show genuine enthusiasm for working with young children. Candidates should also be willing to continue learning and growing in the field of early childhood education.

A sign-on bonus is available upon completion of the orientation process.

$12/hr (with increases based on training & experience; training begins within 2 weeks)
